Okay now its getting exciting! test fitting and measuring wheels for fitment. I will be custom ordering the rim barrels and will be measuring for the correct spacers. The wheels will be Savini BS2 20x8 front and 20x12 rear. The tires will be 225/30/20 frontand 345/25/20 for the rear. they are huge and should look pretty killer. The goal is to get them as flush with the wheel well as possible. I love the deep dish look and it will really set the look for the car. this is where we start taking from mediocre to a top quality look. I have alaways fealt that wheels are what can make or break a car design.

Holy moly the wheel parts came in from LB Forged in LA. they will look so crazy on the car. I also ordered custom race quality aluminum wheel spacers to get the perfect offset as well as custom made wheels. I was also lucky to get one of the sets of custom adjustable rear coilovers from Arraut Motorsports so i will be able to fine tune the ride height.

Looking SOOOO good!

Windshield makes a world of difference in general overall appearance. Even more amazing than your end result is the fact that you've done all this yourself, at home, in your garage! Phenomenal job.

Thanks for taking the time to take and post pics, and the synopsis of what's going on. Will no doubt serve as inspiration to many others besides me!

Keep up the great work, and updates!

I appreciate the kind words. Ive been working in body and paint shops since I was 17 years old. At 49 now ive been lucky to have the experiences ive had. Also I had my own custom paint and body shop for 17 years. Ive built a ton of customs, one off cars both mine and customers. Due to the wonderful economy in 2008 I held on as long as I could and finally closed my shop in 2009. I still have a full shop and build customs all time time and do custom paint work just not as full time employment. Im very thankful for the knowledge i have learned over the years. I really love the build process as well as challenging myself to learn new stuff all the time.

Here is a look at the Tires I got for those massive rear wheels. They will sit flush with the wheel wells. The Front tires are 225/30 zr20 and the Rears are 345/25 zr20. I really feel that wheel and tire combos make or break a kit car, what am I saying....they can make or break any custom build.

Okay, heres more work on the quarter panels. the panels that Im working were almost concaved inward. The actual shape of the Testarossa is fully curved outward. They look flat but in actuality they are curved from front to back and top to bottom. I am looking for the subtle lines that make it look authentic. its the subtle curves of exotics that truly add to the beauty. sometimes this is overlooked. I cut the relief line so that I can use the shape of the wheel well openingand it will allow me to add the width to the panel and maintain the wheel opening alignment.
